Toro Nagashi Lantern Ceremony 2025

The Japanese Arts Foundation is proud to welcome you to our annual Toro Nagashi lantern ceremony, in Jackson Park’s Osaka Garden. We hope to invite you to join us in this meaningful ceremony to process the loss of loved ones, and to strengthen our bonds as a community.

Only 300 registrants will be allowed into the space and receive a lantern to decorate and craft into any design they wish on-site from 7:00-8:00pm with the community. Available lanterns are limited and THIS EVENT WILL SELL OUT, please register well in advance.
